Cam site etiquette: how to be a member models love

Performers remember the good members, and they mute the rude ones fast. Good manners cost nothing and usually lead to friendlier chats and better shows. Here is what regulars know.

Say hello like a person

Start with a normal greeting and something about the model: their room, their outfit, a joke from the chat. A plain “hi” followed by demands is the fastest way to get ignored.

Remember they are working

A cam model is a professional at work. Free chat is how they meet new people, but it is not the place to expect a full private show. If you want their full attention, a private show is how you ask for it.

Don’t haggle

Models set their own prices. Asking for discounts, freebies or “just a quick peek” in free chat is considered rude. If the price doesn’t suit you, there are thousands of other rooms.

Respect limits

Every performer has things they will and won’t do, often listed on their profile. Read it. If they say no, accept it and move on. Pushing is the most common reason members get banned.

Keep it on the platform

Never ask for a model’s real name, location or personal social accounts, and don’t share yours. If someone offers to move the chat to another app or asks you to pay outside the site, it’s very likely a scam. See our privacy and safety guide.

Tip if you enjoyed it

Tips aren’t required, but a small one after a good conversation is appreciated and remembered. Many models greet generous regulars by name.

Be kind in public chat

Don’t insult other viewers or comment negatively on how a model looks. Public rooms are shared spaces; moderators keep them pleasant and will remove people who don’t.

Following these simple rules makes the whole experience better, for you and for the people on the other side of the camera.
