How live cam sites work: a beginner's guide

A live cam site is a platform where adult performers (usually called models) stream live video and chat with viewers in real time. It is interactive entertainment: you can talk to the performer, make requests, and in private shows have their full attention.

Who the performers are

Models on reputable sites are independent adults who choose to work on camera. Before anyone can stream, the site checks a government ID to confirm they are at least 18. Paid private shows

Instead of paying with your card every time, you buy a balance in the site’s own currency: credits, tokens or coins. You spend this balance on shows and tips. It keeps payments quick and discreet, but it also makes it easy to lose track of real money. Always know what one credit is worth in your own currency.

Tipping

Tips are small payments that thank a model or unlock something they have offered in the room, such as a song request or a goal. Tipping is never required, but it is how many models earn a living from free chat.
